Experience the acclaimed masterpiece with it's renowned Sumi-e ink art style. Take on a role of Amaterasu, a japanese sun goddess who inhabits the form of a legendary white wolf. Amaterasu is in a quest to defeat Orochi, an eight headed demon and tyrannical monster. Orochi responsible for turning the world Nippon into a ruined wasteland. The gameplay style is a mix of action, platform, and puzzle gaming genres. The main story is linear. By completing quests, side quests and small extra activities (such as making trees bloom into life or feeding wild animals). Amaterasu earns Praise, which can then spent to increase various statistics of the character.   Combat is staged in a virtual arena, and Amaterasu can fight enemies using a combination of weapons and fighting techniques.   At the end of combat, money rewarded to Amaterasu, with bonuses for completing a battle and without taking damage. The money can be spent on many items from merchants across the land, including healing goods, better weapons and tools. The money can also used to buy new combat techniques at dojos throughout the land.   Additionally, rare Demon Fangs can earned through combat which is traded for extra, unique items that are beneficial in game play. Weapons inspired by the Imperial Regalia of Japan can be equipped on Amaterasu as either main or sub-weapons. It is used also to other melee attacks that the player can have Amaterasu learn through the course of the game.
